With me bones getting weary

As you can see the drywall is almost done now. Just a piece above the door, and shelving that will hide those cinderblocks at the bottom of the wall. Allison has been doing the spackling on the new wall.

The drywall is almost all up. In this view you can see how I am making a shelf to hide the cinderblock at the base of the wall. I need a photo of Allison helping do the spackling...he he he

Another of the NorthRock at work...

Here is the NorthRock at work, framing up the last section and door to the garage.

Here is a second view from the garage side of the conversion. Nice looking 4 wheeler huh? Oh yeah to the right of the door is going to be a big open arch.

Here is the beginning where most of the garage is in view.

Take Your pet to church

I grabbed this photo because it looks so much like our dog, but the whole picture tells a better story. The artical goes on to tell about a local church that has one sunday a month as a Paws, Prayers, and Praise day that you are allowed to bring your pets. It also discribes that most pets are very attentive during the sermon and that they all howl along during the singing.

Howl cool is that?

The weekend of work...

Well, it has so far been a busy weekend. I have started the wall in the garage to get it converted. (pictures to follow soon) Any how we are framing up half of the two car garage and I started the work today. Just rough frame work for a wall mind you but a start just the same. I also through a shelf up on the garage side so that I will be able to start organizing the garage. Many more shelfs and work to be done... Once the wall is framed I have to drywall, insulate, and then sand the drywall and cut out the new doorways. Then frame up the sides for a high shelf to hide the foundation and paint. After that we should be able to get the stairs installed and then lay carpet. I am bushed though for the day so it is time to relax...
Allison is working on a dinner of my favorite, Meatloaf, mashed potatoes, and string beans, (can't wait) he he he. Already then

Spam filter installed

This first step is not a filter as I at first thought, but a word verification step required to post comments. This step is easily added to your blog by going to your posting page and clicking on the settings tab. From there hit the tab for comments and scroll down to the line that ask's yes or no to word verification. Click on yes and then save the settings and republish. BOOM your are not required to verify the word before posting a comment. This cannot be done by an automatic program that people use to post spam to multiple pages.

The Coolest Radio Station Around

Well all be darned, I was wading through various email and decided to run over to the point to get the online stream up and wow! Chuck from the Morning show on my favorite station is a blogger!!! Small world. Any who, you can now go to his blog from my favorite blogs links to the right of the page. Check it out ohh, and while your at it, go to this link for live point music streamed to your pc.

http://pointradio.com/

on to other things I spoke with mom last night, well I chatted via the Hello interface for the blogs. It is just so great using it to chat and send pictures back and forth. It had been what three four months ago when we last spoke? wierd how disconnected I get from everyone without the internet. Well at least we have it again now. and I am back online blogging and surfing.

One more thing There is a lot od spam showing up in my comments and I do not appreciate it. It does not surprise me that someone has figured out how to do this, However it just kills me that they have to in the first place. I am going to attempt to put a spam filter on the site to hopefully stop it so if you notice that your comments are being blocked let me know via email

Mommy and the girls

Mommy and the girls

And here we have a photo of the girls playing with Allison upstairs in the playroom.

A recent photo of Lindsey

Lindsey and a turtle

This is another phone photo grab at the Aquarium here in Virginia Beach, Va.
She is now 13 years old.

Our new home bar

Larry's Bar

Hey everyone, this is the bar we bought to eventually move into the converted garage. It currently is in the foyer that will become the dinning room once the garage has been converted. A door way will be opened up on this wall behind where the bar is currently going down into the family room that is currently a garage.

back up to speed

Ok so I am now back online but what the heck has been going on up der yah fer sure doin cha know?

The single biggest thing that pops into my mind is that I quit smoking cigerettes. I was up to 2 1/2 packs a day, just pufing my life away. The hypnotism was a big help, but it certainly did not work as well for me as for others. I took up dipping and I sappose that is a whole lot better. Especially scince I go through about two cans of dip a week. I also still enjoy a cigar every once in a while, (like when I drink.) The other biggest change is that I got rid of the Gas hog Dodge pickup for a new Honda Accord LX. And going from a truck to a car is well very hard to get used to. But the reality of it was that I was driving this real nice, real expensive truck back and forth to work; (120 miles round trip - 5 days a week) and really only useing it on rare occaisions as a truck. So the commuter vehicle just made a lot of sense.

Click on the title to see the car, then hit back on your browser to return here.

Any how we also did it to get Allison home with the girls and out of driving the 140 miles three days a week to work in Va. Beach. She has been picking up a couple nights working at a resteraunt in town as a bartender.

We still have not converted the Garage but this fall or maybe after Christmas we should get started converting half of the garage into living space for our bar, pool table etc. A family room for the adults, as our upstairs family room has become a playroom for the girls. still have not set up the pool and so I will have to takle that one after the garage is right. We still have so much work to be done on the house in the way of landscapeing, but it is slowly starting to get there. Sure could hire some PV labor for those tasks after we get the money figured out for sure. I will get some pictures up as soon as I can get it done. ok I sappose that is a good start...

Back and better than ever!!

Ok that really took a long time to get back online. We ran into so many internet problems getting a high speed connection here in the backwoods area of gloucester. He he he, any who we now have internet service and I spent several hours trying to get the bugs kicked off the pc. Still working on that one.... We are now connected via Cox Cable and they claim to be 8 times faster than the Phone line DSL, but I am not seing the difference yet. Perhaps it is in-concievable to the naked eye.

On to recent events, I recently got re-aquainted with Lindsey and we have seen each other off and on, till school started that is, she is apparently a little busy with school. I really should call her by the way....(mental note). We are beginning to get a lawn and I just seeded and fertillized a few days ago, now we have four days of endless rain and I am worried that a lot of the seed will simply wash away.

ok so you can send me a note through this site and I do have the yahoo email still but it is most likely full. it has been like nine months or so but for a direct line to my mail box that I will certainly get try useing...

larrynorthup@cox.net

please continue to use the yahoo for general group email that I will eventually get sifted through...(mental note)

one way or another, hope to hear from all of you soon....till then
