Thought for the Day

These are a collection of quotes and thoughts that I have picked up from various sources. Unfortunatly I am unaware of some of the original sources but to be fair will post his or her name as such as the author of origination. This collection of annectdotes, sayings, famous quotes, ufamisiums etc. could only get better with your additions so be sure to add any that you find appropriate in the comments.

My Forte is Blogging around the Bogisphere (Is it Blogosphere??) reading other people's BLOGs. I found one last night called "The Dullest BLOG in the World" It left me breathless with laughter. You have to go there for yourself. Describing it does not do it justice.

I leave you with some prime Mark Twain quotes. Enjoy...

"Get your facts first, and then you can distort them as much as you please."

"I didn't attend the funeral, but I sent a nice letter saying that I approved of it."

"Always acknowledge a fault. This will throw those in authority off their guard and give you an opportunity to commit more."

"The political and commercial morals of the United States are not merely food for laughter, they are an entire banquet."

"The radical of one century is the conservative of the next. The radical invents the views. When he has worn them out the conservative adopts them."

" 'In God We Trust.' It is the choicest compliment that has ever been paid us, and the most gratifying to our feelings. It is simple, direct, gracefully phrased; it always sounds well -- In God We Trust. I don't believe it would sound any better if it were true."

And my current favorite--it could have been written yesterday:

"The nation is divided, half patriots and half traitors, and no man can tell which from which."

I think that I shall never see

Indeed, unless the billboards fall
I'll never see a tree at all.

Do not be discouraged—God is over all;
Count your many blessings—angels will attend,
